Got this on a Vista Ultimate machine this AM with keyboard locked.Best I could do with an hour or so of research was to completely re-install the OS.Glad my files were backed up on Carbonite!!!!!I'd be interested to hear if anyone has a better solution - I did not find better answer on web research.The BOOTMGR error occurred after I attempted compress, of course.

Just upgraded my and my wife's computer via Comcast's free deal. Over the next couple of days, Comcast is replacing their free MacAfee antivirus software with free Norton antivirus software. The install was relatively smooth and problem free.
